Tents
Have nothing in your home that you do not know to be
practical or believe to be beautiful
Our practical, waterproof marquee exteriors are combined with a beautiful themed and ever-expanding range of tent interiors and coordinating furnishings that can be heated or cooled to ensure they feel as comfortable as they look, enabling us to create a perfect atmosphere for any event, regularly making it the 'most memorable' that any of the guests have ever attended!
Travel and experience have led us to develop from our original 'Arabian' influences to produce the current range of tents now available today;
Arabian
This interior has heavily embroidered walls with Indian Rajasthani bead and mirror-work. It is available with a choice of 3 different ceilings in red velvet, red cotton and just created is an intricately designed embroidered and mirrored roof.
Perfect for Arabian Nights themed parties or events requiring a good splash of colour.
Raj
This cream cotton interior has an ornately block printed ceiling and a wall design of arched panels in alternating navy blue and cream. It was designed to give the atmosphere of a relaxed sitting room which can be enhanced by furnishing it with some Colonial items such as leather trunks, gilt mirrors and African masks. It also provides an interesting backdrop as a dining area.
Moulin Rouge
Inspired by the interior of the famous French dancehall, this is our red velvet chameleon tent that can be themed to create a Moroccan tent, Burlesque interior or a James Bond themed party. It's lustrous red velvet reflects light from the walls and ceiling and details in the interior include a gold tasseled swag around the eaves and mirrors in the roof lining.
Cornish Cream
This ivory interiored tent has a delicately mirrored ceiling that twinkles in the sunshine enhancing the pretty sculped detail that runs around the edge of the tent.
The walls have a diamond pattern made up of individual block prints and this understated and versatile interior is one of our most popular in the collection.
Purple Palace
This sumptuous tent has a purple velvet lining with Regency inspired crown details on the walls in gold de florae velvet edged with gold and pink beading. The luxurious swags and gold tassels around the eaves of the tent envelop parties in Bedouin decadence and Fern Cotton described it as her 'Bedouin Boudoir' when used as the backstage interview area at the Isle of Wight festival this year.
Bombay Boudoir
Bombay Boudoir has a bright fuschia and burnt orange colour scheme, transforming your party into a Bombay Dream. The walls and ceiling are intricately embroidered with mirror-work resulting in our most extravagant marquee interior yet.
Perfect for creating the wow-factor at Mehndi and Henna parties or to set the scene for a sparkling Monsoon wedding.

English Tea
This tent is inspired by afternoons taking high tea and a childhood spent reading Alice in Wonderland.
This tent is best accessorised with pretty floral tea sets on hand embroidered tablecloths, with table centre pieces of pastel vases full of meadow flowers, silver candlesticks draped with peals and bowls of old fashioned sweets.
William Morris
William Morris was part of the Arts and Crafts movement of the 1930's which has been enjoying a revival in popularity. Motivated by studies of the Islamic collection at the V&A museum, he was inspired to design his famous floral patterns. Our ivory and sage green screen-printed interior drew from his beautiful patterns, creating a Quintessentially English tent interior and 'English Country Garden' look, perfect for summer weddings and garden parties.
A selection of beautiful pieces of furniture have been covered in his designs and are available to hire to complete the look.

Tent Exteriors
The exteriors of our tents are made from high quality canvas coated polyester to ensure they are 100% British weatherproof!
They are pale cream in colour making an interesting change from the usual white exteriors and have a distinctive sculped exterior with black piping detail to match the black guy ropes.
The marquee walls have two door panels every 30ft length that can be rolled up to create entrances and doorways. This year we have made some window walls with an arched Arabic window design in order to ensure that when the weather is bad, the view can still be enjoyed.
The walls have two door panels measuring 5ft that can be rolled up to create entrances and doorways for caterers and toilets where necessary.
Making Tents
Every year we travel abroad to search for new ideas and to make tents and furniture and buy beautiful and unusual accessories to compliment our interiors, ensuring our offerings constantly evolve and we always have something new to offer you.
India is a favourite destination for these creative excursions as there is still a high level of handicrafts practised by the people and we enjoy working with their positive 'can do' attitude. For the past 5 years we have been working with craftsmen and women to design and make much of the furniture and soft furnishings we use today.
We usually spend a couple of weeks looking around and talking to our suppliers and friends about what is new in the market before making moodboards on the particular themes/interiors we are designing around after which samples and collected and we decide whether block printing, embroidery, screen printing, appliqué or gathering effects will be used in the tents. After that we dye the fabrics, buy the trims, set about making the samples for our craftsmen to copy!
Block printing has become one of our favourite techniques to use in our tents due the organic softness of the finished effect that is only achieved by hand. The studio we work with in Jaipur, India gives employment to women who are either single mothers, or through unfortunate circumstances have become the family breadwinner, often ensuring the security of their families. This makes for a fun and friendly environment as we work alongside them, often singing along to Bollywood songs on the radio as we work.
We are always interested to hear of ideas you might have for new tents we could create ... current thoughts we are considering at the moment are;-
Inca Tent
(inspired by South American travels) -
Midsummer Nights Dream interior

Butterfly themed tent
taking ispiration from the delicate outline of these beautiful creatures and converting it into an illustrated design - Indonesian themed tents
